Ana De Matos

Ana (she/they) was introduced to kundalini yoga in 2019 - the connection with the practice was immediate and she challenged herself to attend 40 classes in 40 days. During those forty days shifts started to happen - the physical and mental challenges of holding postures while maintaining a calm mind were welcomed, and the profound silence that happens during the practice was embraced. They continue to explore the practice deeper as a teacher - every day is a journey of discovery and playfulness.

Ana is a filmmaker who’s current art practice explores the body as a moving sculpture and how the moving sculpture connects with liminal space. The process involves a daily spiritual practice which lays the groundwork for activating the inner lens, which in turn allows them to create from a space of improvisation and freedom. This process is an ongoing dialogue between our inner and outer worlds, the microscopic matter inside the human body and Infinite space.
