PRIVACY POLICY
At JOY, we respect your right to privacy. We’re committed to protecting any data we have that relates to you. Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from JOY allow you to opt out of further mailings. JOY will not sell, trade, rent, exchange or otherwise share your personal information with any other person, company, or organization.

TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT
Use of Cookies
JOY’s web site use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize JOY’s pages, or register with JOY Yoga site or services, a cookie helps JOY to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same JOY web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the JOY website features that you customized.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the JOY Yoga services or Web sites you visit.
Google Analytics
When someone visits www.joy.yoga we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Wi-Fi
When you use JOY Wi-Fi we may collect data about:
a) your device;
b) the volume of data which you use;
c) the websites and applications which you access; and
d) your usage by access time, frequency and location.
Mailing List
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, Constant Contact, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. You can unsubscribe from general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Jessica Banks at info@joy.yoga.
Booking Information
When you purchase a class pass, membership, event ticket, merchandise, or gift voucher(s) in person at JOY’s studio or an offsite event, or online, your name, address data, email and contact number will be stored in our booking system, MindBody. MindBody is committed to protecting your privacy and has systems in place to protect your data. To learn more, please see MindBody’s privacy notice. You may, of course, make JOY purchases in person without supplying the aforementioned personal data. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.
Access to Your Personal Information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer Jessica Banks at info@joy.yoga
Changes to this Privacy Notice
